Century Farms Guest FAQs

(aka β€œEverything You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know Before You Show Up”)

Where is Century Farms?

We’re nestled in the peaceful hills of Carrollton, Ohio β€” a quick scenic drive from just about anywhere in Northeast Ohio. Your GPS will get you here easily (we promise), and once you see the barn, you’ve made it. We are located off the back side of Senior Suites and share a parking lot. We have signs pointing you to turn into said parking lot from our 3 different entry points.

What time should I arrive?

Arrive when the couple says to. Not early (we might still be setting chairs and fluffing flowers), and definitely not late β€” that’s how you earn a starring role in the ceremony… as the person everyone turns to look at.

Can I bring my own drinks?

Nope. Century Farms holds a state liquor license, so by law all alcohol must come from us or our licensed bartenders. That includes toasts, tailgating, and β€œjust one for the road.” Don’t worry β€” Bar N, our on-site bar, has you more than covered.

What if I bring my own alcohol anyway?

Then we’ll have to ask you to leave, and the hosts might lose part of their security deposit. Nobody wants that on their conscience β€” or their wedding recap.

Can I smoke or vape?

Yes β€” but only in designated outdoor smoking areas. Please don’t use our flower pots, landscaping, or walkways as ashtrays. Maria, our groundskeeper, has a sixth sense for spotting cigarette butts, and she does not find them charming.

Wait, is weed allowed?

Nope. Even if your cousin swears it’s legal β€œnow,” Century Farms is a no-marijuana property (and still bound by state and federal rules). That includes smoking, vaping, edibles, and anything else that makes the air smell β€œskunky.” Violations may cost the hosts part of their security deposit, and that’s not how you want to be remembered.

Are kids welcome?

If the couple has invited little ones β€” absolutely! But please supervise them at all times. We’re a polished venue with patios, small cliffs into rocky creek beds, poison ivy, and pretty things that don’t mix well with unsupervised adventures.

Can I bring my pet?

Sorry, Fido β€” weddings are for humans only, unless the couple has arranged something special with us ahead of time. (Yes, we’ve hosted the occasional well-behaved dog of honor, but they’re the exception, not the rule.) True Service animals, of course, are always welcome. Emotional Support Animals are not covered by the ADA and are not welcome at events. Be kind to your fur-babies - most cant handle the noise, energy, and crowded nature of a fun filled celebrated event.

Where do I park?

No matter which direction your enter the property from you will land in our paved parking lot when you arrive. We do have designated parking areas for handicap vehicles. Please look for a staff member if you need assistance with special parking. Also, please stay on the designated drives and parking areas β€” Maria takes pride in those lawns, tire tracks and dead grass are her mortal enemy. If needed staff members will direct you where to park in our grass.

Can I stay overnight?

If you’ve been invited to stay at the Century Farms Inn, lucky you! Check-in and check-out times will be coordinated through the couple and a text will be sent to designated Inn guests. Quiet hours start at 11 PM β€” after that, we recommend the β€œwhisper-laugh” method outdoors.

Can I take photos or videos?

Of course β€” it’s gorgeous here! Just stay out of the professional photographer’s shot during key moments, and respect if the couple has asked you not to take photos or videos during the ceremony.

Also, by attending, you agree that we may take photos or video during events for use on our website or social media. You might see your smiling face pop up later on our feed β€” no modeling fee, but plenty of bragging rights.

Can we use fireworks, confetti, or sparklers?

That's gonna be a no from us. Some items (like sparklers) may be allowed and scheduled with advance approval. We plan this with the couple, if they opted not to have sparklers then Little Jimmy is just going to have to wait for the Fourth of July. Confetti, glitter, and anything that explodes? Hard pass. We’re here for memories, not messes or fines for breaking the laws.

Can we explore the property?

Absolutely β€” within designated event spaces. Feel free to stroll, take photos, and enjoy the views. Just don’t climb fences, wander off the man made paths (we don't own THAT much property), enter private areas, or treat the dΓ©cor like an obstacle course.

What if it rains?

No worries! Century Farms is fully equipped with indoor and covered spaces. Bring practical shoes, and let the couple (and us) handle the rest. Rain or shine β€” the party goes on.

Is the barn handicap accessible?

Yes! The Century Farms Barn is handicap accessible from the outside on both levels. There are no steps required to enter from the exterior, and both entrances lead directly into the main event areas (indoor ceremonies are in the lower level, also known as The Bar N, as well as some cocktail hours). While we don’t have an interior elevator (it’s a 19th-century barn, not a skyscraper), our layout ensures everyone can access the spaces they need comfortably. If you or someone in your party needs special accommodations, just let us or the couple know ahead of time β€” we’re happy to assist.

What should I know about getting to the ceremony or into the barn?

Century Farms sits on beautifully kept countryside, which means some walking on grass or gravel from the parking lot to the ceremony and reception spaces. We recommend practical shoes and a little patience for your path β€” we promise the view is worth it. Our outdoor ceremony spaces are conveniently located near guest parking, and our team is always around to lend a hand if you need extra assistance or a smoother route.

What happens if I break something?

Accidents happen. Please tell a staff member right away. Anything beyond normal wear and tear may be charged to the hosts’ security deposit. Honesty is always cheaper than pretending nothing happened.

Can I come back to visit?

Please do! We host seasonal and public events throughout the year β€” and of course, Bar N is open for special evenings and gatherings, or that occasional nightcap. Follow us on social media or check our website for updates. Once you’ve been here once, we’re betting you’ll want to come back again and again.

Anything else I should know?

Be kind, be safe, and have fun. Century Farms exists so people can celebrate life’s best moments β€” and maybe make a few new memories at the bar before the night’s over. Respect the space, the staff, and the couple, and you’ll fit right in.
